Content rights and responsible downloads

Updated October 7, 2026

Check ownership, creator permission and content-provider restrictions before saving TikTok media.

Check permission before using a link

A video being public does not mean anyone may download or republish it. Use SnapTK only for your own work or content you are authorized to download, and only where the provider permits downloading. Prefer TikTok's built-in Save video option when it is available.

If the creator or provider disables downloads, makes the account private or otherwise restricts access, do not use SnapTK to get around that choice. The confirmation box is your statement of permission; SnapTK cannot independently verify every creator's consent.

Saving is different from republishing

Having a copy does not transfer copyright. Republishing, editing, commercial use and use of music can require separate permissions. Keep the creator's attribution and do not present someone else's work as your own.

A file's watermark or its absence does not determine whether you may use it. SnapTK does not grant a license or guarantee that a provider-supplied file is cleared for your intended use.

If you own content that concerns you

For a video published on TikTok without your permission, use TikTok's intellectual-property reporting process. Include the original video URL and evidence of your rights. SnapTK cannot remove a video from TikTok or change its creator settings.

SnapTK currently has no published direct rights-reporting contact. Do not send passwords or identity documents through unrelated sites claiming to represent SnapTK. This page will identify a reporting channel when one is available.
